SUMMARY:Quilt-As-You-Go Mini-Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Quilt-As-You-Go Mini-Workshop with Chandra Cookson\n     The QAYG technique makes it easy to finish a large quilt on a standard domestic sewing machine, with no need for a longarm machine. With QAYG you piece, sandwich, and quilt your blocks individually, then join them together in small sections.  There are many different methods for QAYG and lots of YouTube videos to explore.\nChandra will demonstrate a QAYG method that uses sashing placed on either the front or the back of the quilt.  You will have the opportunity to make four blocks, each finishing at 12.5 inches.  These blocks will be joined together with sashing to create a NICU-size quilt, a table topper or a table runner.\nWhy try QAYG?\n\nIt makes quilting a large project possible on a standard domestic sewing machine.\nIt is beginner-friendly and a great way to build confidence with quilting and finishing.\nIt works well for useful projects like NICU quilts, table toppers, and table runners.\n\nPlease register online using the Register button below.  If you have questions about registration or logistics for this mini-workshop, please contact Dorothy Schafer at miniworkshops@cvillequilt.org ( mailto:miniworkshops@cvillequilt.org ).
