Our Mission
Charlottesville Area Quilters Guild is a recreational, charitable, and educational membership organization. To further its purpose to unite area quilters and the appreciation of quilts and quilting in general, the Guild supports numerous charitable projects and organizes various workshops, demonstrations, and sharing opportunities among members.
Our history
Charlottesville Area Quilters Guild was originally formed in 1979 as the Charlottesville Quilt Guild. In 1987 an evening group began called Moonlight Quilters. The first QuiltFest was in 1987 and the first Quilt Show open to the public was in 1989. Click here for the complete history.
