Can I join the Charlottesville Area Quilters Guild even if I'm a beginner?
Yes, quilters of all levels are encouraged to join our Guild.

Yes, quilters of all levels are encouraged to join our Guild.
Do I have to join a chapter?
No, you can belong just to the Guild without joining any individual chapters.
Can I join more than one chapter?
Yes, you can join any or all of the chapters.
Do I have to be a Guild member to enter a quilt into the CAQG Quilt Show?
Yes, only Guild members are permitted to enter quilts in the Quilt Show.
Can I take CAQG workshops if I'm not a member?
Non-members may sign up for Spring and Fall workshops if room remains after member sign-ups have occurred. Mini-workshops however are open only to Guild members.
Can I donate items to CAQG?
No. Charlottesville Area Quilters Guild is unable to process unwanted goods for non-guild members. We do not accept fabrics, notions, scraps, trims, tools, machines, furniture, patterns, or books from the community. If you need to dispose of these items Scrappy Elephant is a good option.
Can I hire CAQG members for sewing or quilting jobs?
Not through the Guild. Charlottesville Area Quilters Guild is a recreational, educational organization. While some of our members offer services for hire, they do not advertise through our Guild. We suggest you contact a local quilt shop who may maintain a contact list.
