Rags to Riches: The Scrap Quilt

We will explore choosing colors more instinctively, rather than following a bunch of “rules.”  Learn about Values and Contrast and how to arrange your fabrics by Value (light to dark), then make a one-of-a-kind small quilt or wall hanging.  It all starts with a fabric swap at the beginning of the workshop that forces you to use fabrics and colors you would normally not use.  But the results are stunning, and you will be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.

Full-Day Workshop, 9:00 a.m. — 3:30 p.m. at Ivy Creek Methodist Church.

Some cutting of fabric is required before class.  You will need a sewing machine and general sewing supplies. Full supplies list will be provided to class registrants beforehand.  Sewing machine set-up starting at 8:30 a.m. with the workshop to begin at 9:00 a.m.

Maximum of 25 people.

Confident beginner and up.
